Priyanka took to her Instagram, sharing a video recounting the incident, noting how the guava-seller did not seek charity. In the video, Priyanka narrates the entire motivational tale.
She expressed: “I don't often share such moments, but today was different. While driving to Visakhapatnam airport en route to Mumbai and then New York, I spotted a woman selling guavas.”
“Being a fan of kaccha (raw) guavas, I stopped to inquire about the price. She mentioned it was ‘Rs. 150,’ so I handed her Rs 200. She attempted to return my change, but I insisted, ‘no, please keep it.’
Priyanka continued: “She clearly relied on selling guavas for her livelihood. After a brief moment, just before the light turned green, she returned and handed me two additional guavas. A hardworking woman, she rejected charity. I was truly moved.”
She also posted pictures of the guavas she purchased, along with snapshots from her journey to the airport and a photo of a signboard that read: “Talamali.”
