Mumbai, Nov 24 (NationPress) The creators of “Saali Mohabbat” revealed the trailer for their direct-to-digital movie on Wednesday. Lead actress Radhika Apte acknowledged the pivotal role of director Tisca Chopra in assisting her to discover the delicate balance between quiet vulnerability and hidden strength.

This upcoming who-dunnit represents Tisca’s inaugural venture as a feature-film director, showcasing dynamic performances from Radhika, Divyenndu Sharma, Anurag Kashyap, Anshumaan Pushkar, Sharat Saxena, and Sauraseni Maitra, along with a special cameo by Kusha Kapila.

Radhika stated, “The trailer encapsulates the unsettling stillness of Smita’s existence. Portraying her involved embracing feelings that are not always easy to articulate, and that challenge was immensely fulfilling. Tisca’s guidance enabled me to identify that fragile balance between quiet vulnerability and hidden strength.

“While Smita may seem reserved, it’s crucial not to provoke her—never underestimate the power of a quiet woman,” Radhika added.

Divyenndu Sharma expressed that what impressed him most about the trailer was its ability to immerse viewers in the emotional turmoil of the characters without disclosing too much.

“There’s a subtle intensity to it, almost as if you’re witnessing moments that were never intended for your eyes. Working on Saali Mohabbat involved stepping into that discomfort and trusting the authenticity of the narrative. Tisca crafts an environment where silences resonate more than words, and the trailer beautifully reflects that sentiment.”

In the film, Radhika portrays Smita, a woman leading a sheltered, nearly invisible life in the tranquil town of Fursatgarh, nurturing her lush garden where every leaf feels like a confidant. She finds solace in the familiar rhythm of her plants, her spouse, and her daily routine, which she follows with almost ritualistic devotion.

However, everything unravels when a shocking double murder disrupts the town’s tranquility. As hidden tensions and motives emerge, it becomes evident that matters are far from simple. Amidst the escalating investigation, Smita is drawn out of her cocoon and into a whirlwind of suspicion alongside numerous other potential suspects.

Compelled to confront not only the unfolding mysteries around her but also to protect her own sense of peace and sanity, she faces an uphill battle.
