Hubballi (Karnataka), Nov 14 (NationPress) Union Minister for Food and Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi expressed strong criticism towards the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, following the Congress's significant defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections. He asserted that the historic party is crumbling nationally and is even becoming a burden to its allies within the INDIA bloc.
"The Congress is akin to a sinking ship. Rahul Gandhi is taking his partner parties down along with him," stated Joshi.
During his address to the media in Hubballi, he emphasized that under Gandhi's stewardship, the Congress is facing a downfall across the nation.
"The voters in Bihar have rejected Rahul Gandhi's unfounded claims of 'vote theft'," he remarked.
"In Bihar, the Congress is failing to achieve even single-digit results. Rahul Gandhi is jeopardizing the survival of his own allied parties. His frequent references to nuclear and hydrogen bombs have now backfired, resulting in their detonation on his own party and its partners," Joshi quipped.
Furthermore, he noted that Gandhi had attempted to undermine a constitutional institution and the nation's democratic framework.
"By making false accusations regarding vote theft and EVM malfunctions, he (Rahul Gandhi) aimed to mislead the electorate — and the outcome reflects this miscalculation," Union Minister Joshi stated.
He mentioned that the people of Bihar have categorically dismissed the allegations put forth by the Congress and the Mahagathbandhan.
"This response serves as a counter to their (Congress's) claims of vote theft. It is high time Rahul Gandhi learns to respect the voters, the Constitution, and its institutions," he urged.
Joshi pointed out that the NDA alliance has achieved a historic victory in Bihar.
"This mandate has been granted by the voters in favor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. I extend my gratitude to the people of Bihar for this," Union Minister Joshi expressed.
Union Minister of State for the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Ministry of Railways, V. Somanna, shared on X, "Bihar Chooses Progress. Bihar Chooses NDA. The verdict from the electorate is decisive... a historic, unparalleled mandate that emphasizes development, dignity, and stability."
"The population has reaffirmed their confidence in our humble and energetic Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Ji, whose visionary leadership instills trust nationwide. Under his guidance, the NDA has translated promises into progress, transforming development into a daily reality, a journey that will advance with even more vigor. Congratulations to the people of Bihar!" added Union Minister Somanna.
Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Labour and Employment, Shobha Karandlaje, participated in a celebration held on Friday at the Mangaluru District BJP Office in Karnataka.
She referred to the NDA's triumph in Bihar as "historic and unprecedented" and celebrated by distributing sweets and sharing joyful moments with BJP workers.
