New Delhi, Nov 18 (NationPress) Following comments from Robert Vadra, the businessman and spouse of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who challenged the NDA's significant victory in Bihar and called for a repoll, BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla remarked that the Congress party consistently comes to the aid of its 'lost child', Rahul Gandhi, who he asserted has faced defeat in 95 elections in a row.
Poonawalla further stated that the Congress tends to blame everyone else instead of recognizing the issues within its own leadership.
In an interview with IANS, Shehzad Poonawalla expressed, “The Congress party repeatedly comes to the aid of its 'lost child', Rahul Gandhi, who has suffered 95 consecutive election losses. They attribute their failures to external factors rather than examining their internal flaws. Within the Congress, there exist two factions: the ‘parivarik Congress’ and the ‘party wali Congress’.”
He elaborated, “The ‘party wali Congress’, represented by leaders such as Tariq Ahmad, claims they lost due to ‘ticket chori’, not ‘vote chori’. They argue that the defeats stem from Rahul Gandhi's lack of interest. Conversely, the ‘parivarik Congress’, which includes figures like Robert Vadra and P. Chidambaram, blames the public, the Election Commission, and the entire system. Vadra has expressed a lack of faith in the electoral process and is calling for protests, indicating a distrust in democracy.”
Poonawalla continued, “Their sole aim is ‘Beta Bachao’. When they lose, they criticize the ECI; when they win, they sing its praises. Recently, Robert Vadra even pointed fingers at the media. The Congress has succumbed to four Ds: D for Defeat, D for Denial, D for Delusion, and D for Distortion. The party must move beyond these four Ds and confront reality. Regrettably, both Congress and RJD are fixated on ‘Beta Bachao, Pariwar Bachao’ instead of ‘Party Bachao’.
On Sunday, Robert Vadra condemned the Bihar election results as “unfair and unacceptable”, alleging that the outcome was manipulated by the Election Commission.
“The people of Bihar are dissatisfied with the results. The events that transpired were facilitated by the Election Commission. Bihar deserves another election. Rahul ji will engage with the youth and advocate for democracy,” Vadra stated.
