Is Rahul Gandhi Fabricating Excuses for Bihar Defeat?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Nov 5 (NationPress) BJP national president JP Nadda delivered a fierce critique of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, accusing him of fabricating “manufactured narratives” and concocting excuses in anticipation of a potential opposition defeat in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
In a video statement issued shortly after Gandhi's press conference, where he claimed there were “25 lakh fake voters” in the Haryana Assembly elections, Nadda asserted that the Congress leader had already “accepted defeat in Bihar” and was attempting to distract from the actual circumstances.
“While elections are ongoing in Bihar, Rahul Gandhi is in Delhi conducting a fraudulent press conference. He is aware that the Mahagathbandhan is losing, which is why he is preemptively seeking excuses,” Nadda stated. He noted that Gandhi previously attributed blame to EVMs without evidence, and now questions the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) merely to “mislead the public.”
Nadda emphasized that the Supreme Court had validated EVMs, and the Election Commission had continually invited Gandhi to present proof of electoral fraud.
“If he possesses evidence, why doesn’t he file it formally? Why not approach the courts? His sole intention is to tarnish the nation’s image and agitate the youth,” he claimed.
Stressing that elections are won “through hard work and by earning the people's trust, not through theatrics and staged photo ops,” Nadda accused Gandhi of shielding infiltrators and disseminating “foreign-inspired misinformation.”
He compared Gandhi unfavorably with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praising Modi as a leader dedicated to progress and having uplifted “25 crore people out of poverty in the last 11 years.” Nadda pointed out India’s advancement from the 11th to the 4th position globally, asserting that the country is on the path to becoming the world’s leading economy under PM Modi’s guidance.
Nadda concluded that reports indicate “Mahagathbandhan candidates are reluctant to invite Rahul Gandhi for rallies,” asserting the alliance is facing a “certain defeat” in Bihar.
