Bengaluru, Aug 4 (NationPress) The Karnataka Unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party of inciting unrest in the nation upon realizing their lack of prospects in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections and the certainty of an NDA victory. During a state-level meeting for the 'Har Ghar Tiranga (Tricolour in Every Home)' campaign at Jagannath Bhavan in Bengaluru, BJP state chief and MLA, B.Y. Vijayendra, stated that Congress leaders are falsely alleging the misuse of the Election Commission in Maharashtra and other states.
He further criticized Congress leaders, including CM Siddaramaiah and Dy CM D.K. Shivakumar, for their claims regarding voter fraud in Karnataka.
“They accuse the BJP of misusing the Election Commission in Bengaluru Central and Rural constituencies. Through these claims, Congress seeks to disrupt national peace,” he asserted.
Vijayendra mentioned that since their defeats in Maharashtra and other state elections, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress have been desperate to regain power at the Centre, yet they have continually failed.
“Rahul Gandhi seems to have a special connection to Karnataka. We warned during elections that Congress would exploit Karnataka as an ATM. They are currently exploiting the state to finance illegal activities,” Vijayendra stated.
“The Congress is imposing financial burdens on the people of Karnataka by escalating prices,” he noted.
“If Karnataka has become a haven for anti-nationals, and if Rahul Gandhi showcases such affection for the state, it’s not due to the people but rather because all systems are being manipulated for the benefit of the Congress high command,” he alleged.
“Rahul Gandhi will return to spread misinformation. The BJP is fully equipped to counter this,” he claimed.
“It would not be inaccurate to suggest that Congress is aligning with anti-nationals. To appease minority groups, they are fostering societal divisions. Under Congress’ leadership, unrest is being cultivated both in the state and nationally,” he stated.
Vijayendra commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, highlighting its success in informing the public about national developments and inspiring stories.
He mentioned that the latest episode was viewed at 33,000 booths nationwide, with Karnataka BJP securing the fourth position across the country. He expressed gratitude to party workers for this accomplishment.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modiji does not hail from a political dynasty. He previously served as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. When the populace was disillusioned with the UPA government and the youth felt there was no future for India, he inspired confidence in the nation’s bright prospects for development and a corruption-free governance. He positioned himself as a servant of the people,” he said.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modiji did not ascend to the Prime Ministership through sympathy. Through transparent governance and development, India has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economic power. In just 11 years, the defense budget has tripled,” he asserted.
He added that the Prime Minister’s vision of every Indian celebrating Independence Day with pride and patriotism is becoming a reality.
K. Surendran, former Kerala BJP President and in charge of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in South India, also criticized Congress. “Through Operation Sindoor, India taught a lesson to Pakistani terrorists. However, Rahul Gandhi’s Congress appears to be siding with Pakistan. Under Sonia and Rahul’s leadership, Congress behaves like an anti-India entity,” he alleged.
“Urban Naxals and the ‘Tukde Tukde’ gang seem to control Rahul Gandhi. When overseas, he speaks against India, criticizing the Election Commission, Central investigative agencies, the Supreme Court, Aadhaar, and GST. It appears he wishes for India’s destruction,” he charged.
He condemned the anti-national activities of Congress and the Left parties, asserting that under PM Modi’s leadership, the youth and the public are aligned with the BJP. “This time, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign holds even more significance,” he concluded.
On this occasion, the campaign poster was unveiled.
The BJP’s protest scheduled for Tuesday (August 5) near the Gandhi statue in front of the Vidhana Soudha has been postponed for unspecified reasons, according to BJP State General Secretary P. Rajeev.
He mentioned that the protest was intended to involve MLAs and MLCs to denounce the allegations made by Congress leaders regarding irregularities in the Lok Sabha elections.
BJP State Secretary H.C. Tammesh Gowda, State Mahila Morcha President K.C. Manjula, State Yuva Morcha President and MLA Dheeraj Muniraju, Yuva Morcha Vice President Dr. Mallikarjun Balikai, and BJP Cells Coordinator S. Dattatreya were present.
