Jaipur, April 16 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, during the celebrations for the Rajasthan Police Foundation Day, commended the steadfast commitment, valor, and service of the state's police force. Referring to police personnel as the genuine heroes of society, he recognized their relentless efforts to safeguard lives and property, often facing the harshest conditions and challenges. In his address at the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA), the Chief Minister noted that Foundation Day serves as a significant moment to collectively honor and appreciate the police force.

On this occasion, CM Sharma made a series of crucial announcements aimed at enhancing the welfare of police personnel and modernizing the department. He revealed an increase in the uniform allowance from Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 for ranks from constable to assistant sub-inspector, in addition to a hike in mess allowance from Rs 2,400 to Rs 2,700 for officers up to the rank of police inspector.
Moreover, he introduced free travel facilities for police officers from constable to inspector rank in semi-deluxe buses, complementing their existing travel benefits.
The Chief Minister assured that the government would take all necessary measures to guarantee timely promotions and address the requirements of the police force. Additionally, he shared that approval has been granted for the recruitment of 10,000 new personnel to enhance law and order, alongside the creation of 5,500 posts, with a further 3,500 proposed for the current year.
Furthermore, administrative and financial approvals have been granted for the formation of Padmini Kalibai and Amritadevi Mahila Police Battalions, as well as the establishment of 1,000 constable posts in the first phase to create 500 Kalika patrolling teams.
In a significant move to strengthen cyber capabilities and digital surveillance, the government will set up the Sardar Patel Centre for Cyber Control and War Room for Rs 350 crore under the Police Headquarters. Additionally, approximately 750 motorcycles and 500 light vehicles have been procured to enhance police mobility, with Rs 27 crore allocated for advanced equipment.
The government has also sanctioned the expansion and upgrade of the Police Telecommunication Training Centre into the Rajasthan Police Technical Training Academy.
In total, around Rs 60 crore has been allocated to enhance police operations and efficiency.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Sharma laid a wreath at the Police Martyrs Memorial to honor the courageous police personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice. Subsequently, he reviewed the parade at the academy and awarded Police Medals and Chief Minister's Commendable Service Medals to outstanding officers and personnel in recognition of their exemplary service.
