Jaipur, April 16 (NationPress) The Rajasthan Police celebrated its 77th Foundation Day on Thursday with remarkable enthusiasm and pride. The event took place at the Rajasthan Police Academy (RPA) in Jaipur, where Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma was the esteemed Chief Guest. In his address, CM Sharma highlighted the significant reduction in the crime rate across the state.

He emphasized that security and safety have been prioritized, fostering confidence among investors. He noted, "Cyber crimes and drug addiction have emerged as serious challenges; thus, we must adopt innovative strategies for their management. Society must remain proactive in combating these issues," he stated.

CM Sharma reiterated the government's commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against crime and corruption. He mentioned that the Anti-Narcotics Task Force has been established to combat the drug mafia and that the paper leak syndicate has been dismantled, with perpetrators facing justice. "During our tenure, there has been no paper leak," he proudly declared.

"We take immense pride in the dedicated guardians of peace and security in our state," he added.

The presence of the Chief Minister elevated the grandeur of the event, as he was escorted to the ceremonial grounds by the police motorcycle battalion and mounted officers. He inspected the parade and honored the exceptional courage, professionalism, and unwavering commitment of the police personnel.

On this momentous day, CM Sharma introduced a significant welfare initiative for retired police officers. He launched the Rajasthan Police Pensioners Portal, a specialized digital platform integrated with the RajCop Citizen App.

This initiative will greatly benefit thousands of pensioners and their families by allowing them to access vital services from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for multiple visits to government offices for pension-related matters.

In a notable addition, this year's Foundation Day festivities also acknowledged the outstanding service of civilians in social work. The Chief Minister presented Certificates of Appreciation to three individuals: Prakash Prajapati from Sirohi, Surjit Kashyap from Jhalawar, and Sindhu Binujit from Udaipur.

Sindhu Binujit has garnered special recognition for her impactful initiatives in child protection. Since 2010, she has collaborated with UNICEF in the tribal areas of Dungarpur, launching innovative programs such as ‘Vatsal Varta’ and ‘Bal Mitra Thanes’ (Child-Friendly Police Stations) to prevent child labor and mitigate child migration. Her efforts have played a crucial role in alleviating the fear of police among children in these communities. Her model received statewide acknowledgment in 2015, when then CM Vasundhara Raje ordered its implementation throughout Rajasthan.

Foundation Day was commemorated with similar enthusiasm in various districts across Rajasthan.
