Jaipur, Aug 4 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, inaugurated the Isarda-Dausa Drinking Water Project by laying its foundation stone at a ceremony in Dungarpur village, located in Lalsot, Dausa district.
During his address, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his administration's commitment to improving living conditions by providing vital amenities to every village and settlement in the state. The ambitious Rs 350 crore initiative will feature the development of 8 clean water reservoirs, 5 pump houses, and 47 high reservoirs.
Extensive infrastructure will be established, including over 1,840 km of pipelines, comprising rising main, main, and VDS lines. Upon its completion in 2027, this project is expected to deliver clean drinking water to more than 6.27 lakh residents across 302 villages and the town of Lalsot.
In addition, development projects exceeding Rs 120 crore have been sanctioned for the Lalsot Assembly, which includes a budget allocation of Rs 116 crore.
Sharma highlighted the successes of the past year and a half, noting considerable advancements in water, electricity, and infrastructure sectors. Projects like the Ram Jal Setu Link, Yamuna Water Agreement, and Mahi Dam Scheme have significantly improved irrigation and drinking water supplies.
Irrigation facilities have expanded to cover 82,964 hectares, backed by investments totaling Rs 8,496 crore. The government aims to ensure daytime electricity for farmers by 2027.
Sharma mentioned that over 75,000 youth have received job appointment letters through six employment fairs, asserting that recruitment processes are being conducted with full transparency, free from any exam paper leaks.
The Chief Minister contrasted his government's accomplishments with those of the previous administration, citing the construction of 32,000 farm ponds compared to 29,000 in five years, alongside a 4,800 MW increase in power generation capacity.
He remarked that 1,421 villages now have road connections, more than 89,000 students have received tablets, and 9.75 lakh ownership cards have been distributed, significantly exceeding the records of the former government.
Sharma called upon citizens to participate in the Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan, aimed at planting 50 crore saplings over the next five years.
