Jaipur, Dec 10 (NationPress) The Rajasthan High Court experienced yet another bomb threat on Wednesday, marking the second such incident within just two days and the fifth occurrence in the past six weeks.

According to reports, an email containing the threat was received, triggering an immediate response from security personnel. Teams, including the bomb disposal unit and dog squad, promptly arrived at the scene, placing the entire area on high alert.

In response to the alert, investigative teams commenced a comprehensive search starting at 8 a.m., as stated by an official.

The bomb disposal and dog squads meticulously examined various locations, including the Satyamev Jayate building, parking lot, records room, and other sections of the premises during a two-hour operation.

Ultimately, no suspicious items were discovered.

The court premises were declared fully secure, allowing judicial activities to resume by 11:30 a.m.

Moreover, these bomb threats emerged during a particularly sensitive period, with the Rajasthan High Court Bar Association elections set for Thursday, December 11.

The High Court had previously received similar threats on October 31 and December 5, along with two more alerts on December 8 and 9.

These repeated hoaxes have raised significant concerns regarding the efficacy of current security protocols and response strategies.

Such frequent threats have disrupted court operations, necessitating evacuations and postponing case hearings. On both Tuesday and Wednesday, the court was evacuated immediately following the alerts, ensuring the safety of lawyers, court personnel, and litigants, while temporarily halting all proceedings.

After confirming that no explosives were present, Wednesday's alert was also deemed a hoax.

The investigation has been assigned to the Cyber Cell for further examination and technical analysis.

Security agencies are actively enhancing surveillance systems, tightening entry protocols, and improving overall safety measures throughout the High Court complex. Authorities have urged the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activities to prevent future incidents.

Point of View

I believe the repeated bomb threats to the Rajasthan High Court underscore a significant vulnerability in our security measures. The safety of our judicial institutions is paramount, and it is crucial that authorities act decisively to strengthen protections and ensure public confidence. These incidents not only disrupt court functions but also instill fear within the community, emphasizing the need for robust responses and preventive strategies.
