Jaipur, June 14 (NationPress) The Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit, which took place in December, is now bearing fruit as the state government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that guarantees job opportunities for 400 ITI students through an innovative approach.
These students will undergo initial training and subsequently be recruited. In addition to job placements, the MoU also offers opportunities for these individuals to visit Germany and further their careers after acquiring the necessary skills.
Officials informed IANS that, in a significant move to enhance employment and skill development, the Rajasthan Government has forged a MoU to initiate a structured Soft Skills Development Programme for ITI graduates, which not only ensures job placements but also facilitates pathways for working in Germany.
This initiative, a direct outcome of the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit, aims to equip over 400 candidates with crucial soft skills and industry preparedness, setting them up for careers in the home services sector. A two-month blended training module—offered through both online and offline methods—will emphasize effective communication, professionalism, teamwork, and outstanding customer service.
Upon completion, candidates will become certified service partners on the company's platform, providing services such as appliance repair, at-home salon services, and cleaning within their communities, thus reducing the need for migration and fostering local economic development.
The Department of Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship (DSEE), Government of Rajasthan, has partnered with a leading digital home services platform to formalize this MoU. This collaboration is one of the early success stories following the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit and aims to close the gap between vocational training and employment opportunities for ITI graduates through a structured soft skills and industry readiness training program.
Furthermore, this initiative opens doors for some candidates to explore international job opportunities, highlighting the skilled workforce of the state on a global scale.
The MoU signing event was attended by prominent officials, including Surendra Kumar Khandelwal (Director, Training), Neeraj Mathur (Joint Director), and Urvashi Sahay (Superintendent).
This initiative aligns with the Rajasthan Government's objective to generate livelihoods through innovative public-private partnerships, ensuring that skill-based education translates into sustainable employment opportunities both locally and globally, according to officials.
