New Delhi, Sep 11 (NationPress) – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to oversee discussions on employment, digital skills, and apprenticeship prospects facilitated by Defence Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) and corporate entities during a two-day event in Lucknow, commencing on September 16, as confirmed by an official announcement on Thursday.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has revealed that the third edition of Kaushal Mahotsav – Lucknow 2025 will take place on September 16 and 17 at Colvin Taluqdars’ College Grounds, Lucknow.

This event aims to connect thousands of job seekers with potential employers, guiding their career paths and providing a national platform for local skills and enterprises.

During this year's Mahotsav, more than 100 renowned companies and institutions will convene, offering opportunities across over 20 sectors such as Automotive, Electronics, Logistics, BFSI, Healthcare, Aerospace, and Green Jobs. A total of over 35,000 job opportunities have been identified nationwide, with more than 7,500 positions reserved specifically for Lucknow, as stated by the official.

The event emphasizes apprenticeships, providing over 6,900 positions for ITI graduates, diploma holders, and degree holders.

Prominent Defence CPSUs including BHEL, BEL, HAL, BEML, Controller General of Defence Accounts, Hindustan Shipyard Limited, and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders will also participate, fostering strong industry connections and facilitating large-scale recruitment.

Joining Defence Minister Singh will be Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

The Lucknow Kaushal Mahotsav 2025 will feature various offerings for the youth, including access to digital skills and apprenticeship opportunities, comprehensive information on diverse career and skill courses, and registration for IndiaSkills competitions via the Skill India Digital Hub.

Moreover, the event will present interactive skill zone exhibitions where participants can engage with emerging technologies and explore advanced career pathways.

Speaking to the media, Shreeshail Malge, Joint Secretary of MSDE, stated, “Kaushal Mahotsav, Lucknow 2025 is more than just an employment fair; it is a platform where skills intersect with opportunities and aspirations align with industry needs. With over 100 companies, 7,500+ jobs and apprenticeships, and a focus on future-ready careers, we are preparing youth not only for the current workforce but also for the economy of tomorrow.”

He further added, “These prospects are crafted to benefit candidates at every educational level, from Class 10 graduates to postgraduates. Since 2018–19, Uttar Pradesh has made significant strides under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, providing apprenticeships to over 3.21 lakh young individuals. This Mahotsav builds on that progress, with a clear mission: to establish India as the Skill Capital of the World by 2047.”

Opportunities presented at the Mahotsav will be inclusive, catering to candidates ranging from Class 10 students to postgraduates. Salary packages will vary from Rs 13,000–20,000 per month, with numerous openings exceeding Rs 20,000–25,000, allowing candidates to select roles that resonate with their skills and ambitions, according to the statement.

In an effort to highlight future job prospects, the Mahotsav will feature special interactive zones showcasing careers in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Drone Technology, Electric Mobility, and Cybersecurity. Additionally, registrations for IndiaSkills 2025 will commence in Lucknow, enabling young aspirants to represent India at the prestigious WorldSkills International Competition.
