New Delhi, Nov 14 (NationPress) In a highly competitive electoral battle in Bihar's political landscape, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is currently ahead in approximately 200 seats, surpassing the majority threshold of 122. In contrast, the Mahagathbandhan has managed to secure only 34 seats, yet the RJD is at the forefront in terms of voting percentage.
As per the latest updates from the Election Commission (6:34 p.m.), the RJD boasts a vote share of 22.85%, positioning it as the largest party by vote percentage.
In comparison, the BJP's vote percentage is 20.28%, followed by JDU at 19.14%, Congress at 8.78%, LJP-Ram Vilas at 5.04%, CPI (ML) at 2.90%, AIMIM at 1.92%, NOTA at 1.81%, with other parties trailing behind.
The ECI indicates that RJD has claimed victory in eight seats while leading in 17 others.
This election marks one of the RJD's weakest performances since its establishment in the late 1990s.
In response to the results, Prime Minister Narendra Modi characterized the NDA's triumph in the Bihar Assembly elections as a testament to “good governance and development.” He pledged to elevate the state's infrastructure and culture, creating abundant opportunities for both youth and women.
