Patna, Aug 16 (NationPress) Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP, Sanjay Yadav, delivered a forceful critique of the BJP-led NDA on Saturday, claiming they are deliberately undermining democracy and the Constitution. His comments arrive just before Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, embarks on a statewide protest in Bihar against alleged "vote theft" and the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in the state gearing up for Assembly polls.

In a statement to IANS, Yadav stated, "Following the note demonetisation, this government is initiating a new type of ban — on votes. They have devised a method to exclude voters who do not align with them. This goes beyond mere political strategy; it is an outright assault on democracy and the Constitution."

He further accused the BJP of methodically eliminating voters from marginalized communities.

"Countless Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward classes, and Muslim voters in Bihar have seen their names removed. This is why, commencing tomorrow from Sasaram, LoP Rahul Gandhi and our own Tejashwi Yadav will spearhead a protest. All coalition partners will unite to challenge this injustice," he continued.

Yadav also responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks on Independence Day, where he labeled the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan as "unjust" and "one-sided," insisting that "blood and water cannot flow together."

He remarked, "In 2014, he mentioned showing a 'red eye' and here we are, 11 years later, still awaiting action. You declared a ceasefire at Trump's urging. You visited Pahalgam yet failed to prevent attacks, resulting in the deaths of twenty-six Indians. In Pulwama, our CRPF soldiers lost their lives. Who is accountable for Pulwama? Has that question ever been resolved?"

Criticizing the BJP for insufficient development in Bihar, Yadav asserted, "You have governed this nation for 11 years and Bihar for 20. Yet, Bihar still ranks at the bottom in per capita income, investment, literacy, and has the highest school dropout rate. These are not my allegations — they come from your own NITI Aayog. What has your government achieved in Bihar? You hold 39 out of 40 MP seats here. Prove to us what you have accomplished during these years."

In reaction to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's announcement of a special economic package and a commitment to create 1 crore jobs in five years, Yadav countered, "Nitish Kumar asserts that 50 lakh youths have found employment. Then provide the data — district by district. Where are these 50 lakh youths? Present a detailed report. They couldn’t even mention 'employment' until Tejashwi Yadav compelled them. Now they echo his every word. The CM himself doesn’t even handle his social media — his team does. Ask him directly if he recalls any of his promises."

Yadav concluded with a warning that the people of Bihar are knowledgeable and will respond at the ballot box.

"This time, they will not be fooled by distractions. They will demand accountability," he declared to IANS.
