Kochi, Oct 13 (NationPress) The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dakshin Kerala unit released a statement on Monday urging for an extensive investigation into the unnatural death of their member, Anandhu Aji.
"RSS Dakshin Kerala insists on a thorough inquiry into the events leading to the unnatural demise of Anandhu Aji. A suicide note surfaced on Instagram and various social media platforms shortly after his passing, containing dubious and baseless accusations against the Sangh, which he claims contributed to his decision to take his own life," the statement, signed by K.B. Sreekumar, RSS Sah Pranth Karyavah, stated.
The statement further expressed: "The unnatural death of Aji, a dedicated Swayamsevak from Elikulam gram panchayat in Kottayam district, is deeply troubling and unfortunate. His family has been affiliated with the Sangh for many years; his father, the late Sri Aji, was also an RSS Karyakarta. In these trying times, we stand firmly with the family and pray for the peace of his soul."
A written request to the RSS Kottayam district police advocates for a comprehensive and unbiased investigation.
"We firmly believe that an independent investigation will reveal the true cause of his unnatural death and affirm the innocence of the RSS in this tragic situation," the statement noted.
Notably, 26-year-old software engineer Anandhu Aji was discovered deceased in a lodge room in the state capital, Thiruvananthapuram, last week.
On his Instagram account, which went live the same day, Anandhu mentioned that he chose to end his life after battling severe mental health issues, including depression, for years.
He alleged that these issues stemmed from horrific sexual abuse he endured in his childhood.
Having joined the RSS at a young age, Anandhu claimed that the organization played a role in his mental health struggles, attributing them to the repeated sexual and physical abuse he faced as a child.
"I harbor no anger toward anyone except for one person and an organization. The organization is the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), which my father, a wonderful person, encouraged me to join. That’s where I’ve endured lifelong trauma, inflicted by the organization and that individual," he wrote.
