Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Feb 2 (NationPress) Actor Sanjay Mishra, who is gearing up for the launch of his forthcoming film ‘Vadh 2’, expressed that he completely embraced the director's vision.
In an interaction with IANS during the film's promotional activities, he remarked that while audiences often commend him for his acting, much of the credit belongs to the director who decides how to depict him.
He stated, “I have entrusted a lot to the director. We are like paints in the director's palette; mixed with some of Neena ji's hues, a bit of my own, and shades from other characters, the director skillfully crafts the film's canvas. My father's name is Shambhunath Mishra, and during that time, I was perceptive and insightful, observing the realities of life—like how one celebrates Diwali while earning just INR 1000 a month, trying to support a family of four children. That experience deeply influenced my character.”
He added, “In ‘Vadh’, Shambhunath knows when to be silent before Manju and how much to express. This is the director's choice. We can also appear poorly, and our performances might falter. If portrayed positively and given the opportunity, we can certainly enhance it.”
On another note, ‘Vadh 2’ acts as a thematic or “spiritual” follow-up to the 2022 film ‘Vadh’, reuniting Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta in fresh, intense roles that promise elevated emotional stakes and moral complexity. The crime drama is directed and penned by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films.
The film is set to hit theaters on February 6, 2026.
