New Delhi, Feb 2 (NationPress) Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbanand Sonowal, initiated the dialogue regarding the Motion of Thanks on the President's address during the Lok Sabha session on Monday.

In addition to Sonowal, five prominent speakers representing the BJP will engage in an extensive discussion on the Motion of Thanks related to the President's Address.

While addressing the Lok Sabha, the Union Minister remarked, "The President's address to the joint session of Parliament is truly remarkable. It marks the commencement of a new quarter in the 21st century, laying the foundation for the next 25 years of our nation's journey. This pivotal quarter century is crucial as our aspirational nation advances towards the development of a 'Viksit Bharat'. It is a decisive period when a determined nation propels itself towards self-reliance and Aatmanirbhar Bharat."

He emphasized that the President's address was delivered by the first-ever Adivasi and the youngest, as well as the second-ever woman President of India.

"These events are not mere coincidences; they symbolize a great nation striving to reclaim its ancient 'Virasat' (heritage). They exemplify the intentional and decisive strategies of the world's largest democracy on its path toward a just, equitable, and free society," he articulated.

The Union Minister highlighted that the President's address was "all-encompassing" and presented an "inspiring vision" for the future of the country. "It reflected our government's commitment to social justice, inclusive growth, and its steadfast resolve to foster a Viksit Bharat," he stated.

As a member of a tribal community from the northeastern state of Assam, Sonowal expressed pride in the inclusive and equitable growth opportunities guaranteed by the government for every citizen, including Dalits, Adivasis, women, youth, and farmers. Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Viswas, Sabka Prayaas is not just a slogan but a guiding principle actively implemented by this government.

"This century will be recognized as Maa Bharati's century of inclusion, equitable justice, development, and Aatmanirbharta," he added.

He described the President's address as a "compelling narrative" of a civilization confidently progressing toward its goals under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Furthermore, the Union Minister criticized the opposition, stating that prior to 2014, during the Congress-led UPA administration, "India faced policy paralysis, corruption, delayed projects, disconnected regions, and a general lack of national self-confidence."

"Post-2014, under the vigorous leadership of PM Modi, India opted for decisive governance. Since then, India has embarked on a journey of rapid growth and comprehensive progress, particularly emphasizing Baba Saheb Ambedkar's principles of equality and social justice. This new governance approach has transformed the nation since 2014," he noted.

"From being part of the Fragile Five economies globally, we have now become the fourth-largest economy in the world in just 11 years of robust growth. 'Modi hai to mumkin hai' (Everything is possible with Modi's leadership)," he asserted.

He further elaborated on the significant progress India has made both domestically and internationally under the Modi administration.
