New Delhi, April 20 (NationPress) Leveraging the innovative ideas and creative thinking of students is essential for achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, stated Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday.

While speaking to the students of Sreeram Academy Pathsala during its 20th Foundation Day, Sonowal emphasized the concept of Yuva Shakti being linked to the power of knowledge. He proclaimed, “Knowledge is power, and students should strive to acquire and effectively utilize it for the common good.”

“Students must extend beyond the confines of textbooks; they should actively seek to introduce new ideas and innovative approaches,” he advised.

He pointed out the transformative measures implemented by the Government, stating, “Initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, and Skill India have been initiated to empower the younger generation, providing them with the necessary tools to lead and innovate.”

The event brought together students, teachers, parents, alumni, and esteemed local personalities, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s rich history.

Sonowal also highlighted the importance of value-based education, urging, “Education grounded in moral values should be prioritized. I encourage parents to nurture their children as responsible citizens and to emphasize the integration of Yoga and holistic health practices into their daily routines.”

“Yoga transcends mere physical exercise; it embodies a lifestyle that fosters mental clarity and physical strength. It aids in maintaining focus, balance, and health,” Sonowal added.

The celebration featured an array of cultural performances by students, including dance, music, and drama, which captivated the audience.

The event was attended by notable figures such as Phanidhar Talukdar, MLA of Bhawanipur Constituency, Dhanpati Deka, Vice-Chancellor of Bhattadev University, and Dr Kakali Das, Principal of Shree Ram Academy, along with other distinguished guests.

Sonowal's focus on Yoga and holistic health practices resonated with Union Home Minister Amit Shah's call for students to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which includes at least six hours of sleep and two hours of exercise.

HM Shah mentioned that young individuals can accomplish much in their lives by adhering to proper hydration, diet, exercise, and sleep based on their body's needs.
