Mumbai, March 9 (NationPress) Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who made headlines due to his charming interaction with ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan at the IIFA, has provided an update regarding his forthcoming project.

The actor graced the green carpet at the 25th edition of IIFA before the IIFA Digital Awards and mentioned that his film with Vishal Bhardwaj is currently in production, with an expected release by the end of 2025.

While speaking to the media on the green carpet, he also expressed his views on IIFA recognizing digital content.

He stated, “It’s fantastic that IIFA has begun to acknowledge and celebrate digital content. The digital medium has a plethora of talented artists creating meaningful stories. Over the last few years, digital content has experienced an incredible surge. I starred in a series called ‘Farzi’ on OTT 2-3 years back. I took on that series because I have a passion for digital content, and I believed audiences would enjoy seeing me in a series with quality storytelling.”

He added, “I am optimistic that ‘Farzi 2’ will come to fruition in the near future. That’s the objective on OTT. Additionally, I’m currently shooting a film with Vishal Bhardwaj, which I hope will be released by year’s end.”

This film marks Shahid’s fourth collaboration with Vishal Bhardwaj, following ‘Kaminey’, ‘Haider’, and ‘Rangoon’. It also features Triptii Dimri and falls within the action-thriller genre.

Regarding his preparations for his performance at IIFA, the actor humorously remarked, “I’m absolutely unprepared; I just hope to get some stage time to practice the basics.”

When asked about his experiences in Jaipur during the IIFA celebrations, the actor jokingly replied, “I’ve seen the Hyatt hotel and the parking lot (laughs). Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to explore the city or do any sightseeing, but I really love Jaipur.”
