Mumbai, March 9 (NationPress) Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor, who made headlines following his charming encounter with ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan at the IIFA, has provided an update on his forthcoming project.
The actor graced the green carpet at the 25th edition of IIFA before the IIFA Digital Awards, revealing that his film with Vishal Bhardwaj is currently in production and is expected to hit theaters by the end of 2025.
During his interaction with the media at the green carpet, he also shared his views on IIFA acknowledging digital content.
He commented, “It’s a wonderful development that IIFA has begun to recognize and honor digital content. The digital medium boasts numerous talented artists crafting meaningful stories. Over recent years, digital content has experienced tremendous growth. I starred in a series called ‘Farzi’ on OTT 2-3 years ago. I chose to do the series because I am passionate about digital content, and I believed audiences would enjoy seeing me in a series with quality storytelling.”
He added, “I am hopeful that ‘Farzi 2’ will materialize soon. That is the goal on OTT. Additionally, I’m currently filming with Vishal Bhardwaj, and I anticipate its release by year-end.”
This film represents Shahid’s fourth collaboration with Vishal Bhardwaj, following Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon. The movie also features Triptii Dimri and is categorized as an action-thriller.
When discussing his preparations for his IIFA performance, the actor humorously stated, “I am not at all ready; I just hope to get on stage to do some basic rehearsals.”
