Mumbai, July 7 (NationPress) Actor Sharad Kelkar's latest venture, Tumm Se Tumm Tak, explores a distinctive love story involving a 19-year-old girl, Anu, and a 46-year-old business mogul, Aryavardhan.
The show has encountered significant backlash concerning the considerable age difference between the lead characters.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Kelkar remarked that narratives depicted on screen often reflect real societal dynamics.
Kelkar expressed, "Look, stories emerge from our environment. If something doesn't exist in reality, how could it even cross our minds? It either draws from real-life events or is completely fictional—but even fiction requires some inspiration. Take The Avengers, for instance—nobody questions the plausibility of superheroes flying, as we accept it as part of the narrative."
He further emphasized that such relationships are indeed present in society.
"Whether such romantic tales are prevalent in real life is subjective. However, cinema has always been about aspirations—elements we may not encounter in our everyday lives. And frankly, numerous such relationships exist in society," added the actor known for Tanhaji.
Addressing the trolling, Kelkar categorized it into two types.
On positive trolling, he mentioned, "One type stems from the fact that viewers are watching and engaging, which is a positive indicator."
He elaborated on the negative trolling, stating, "The other form arises from idleness. Luckily, by God's grace, I am actively working, while some individuals, who are not engaged, just sit and comment. That's fine; I consider it part of the process."
Kelkar also shared insights about his upcoming projects, revealing a web series set to premiere in October.
"A film is currently in post-production, and I'm in the midst of shooting another film," he disclosed.
Additionally, Kelkar will be lending his voice to the latest season of The Legend of Hanuman this August.
