Mumbai, July 26 (NationPress) The talented actress Shefali Shah has opened up about how we often overlook our safety while traveling, particularly when taking flights.
She expressed her love for flying and the thrill she feels upon arriving at the airport.
"Even after choosing my seat, I always double-check, 'It’s a window seat, right?' and I feel like I've received a delightful surprise when it is," she shared.
She further described her airport experience: "For the next couple of hours, I wander around, exploring shops, grabbing a coffee, and picking up books."
The 'Dil Dhadakne Do' star also elaborated on her in-flight routine.
"Once aboard, I take off my socks, shawl, and jacket, trying to fit everything into the overhead compartment filled with various bags. I settle in with the fan on full blast, shoes off, and my cozy shawl wrapped around me, ready to enjoy the flight experience while sipping a beverage, receiving a hot towel, and browsing the in-flight magazine while soft melodies play in the background," she revealed.
Shefali admitted that, like many travelers, she often skips the safety demonstration, believing she will never face an emergency situation.
However, the recent crash involving Air India, which tragically took more than 200 lives, made her reflect on her travels with newfound appreciation for her safety.
The 'Jalsa' actress took to social media, stating, "The strange ongoing aviation crisis made me reflect, and I realized, NOT ONCE… during all these years of travel, did it cross my mind that this could be my last journey."
Concluding with a sense of gratitude, she expressed, "No, I’m not being naive or taking life for granted. I feel fortunate for my safety and blessings, and I sincerely hope everyone flying around the world feels the same."
