New Delhi, Nov 26 (NationPress) The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced a remarkable advancement in Phase II of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025 of electoral rolls, with 99.43 per cent of Enumeration Forms (EFs) already disseminated across 12 states and Union Territories.
As per the Daily Bulletin, the overall distribution of EFs across the nation has reached 99.43 per cent, showcasing exceptional efforts from Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and active involvement from Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
This enumeration phase, which spans from November 4 to December 4, has seen a total of 50.68 crore EFs distributed out of 50.97 crore eligible electors.
Digitization efforts are also progressing, with 37.77 crore forms digitized thus far, achieving an overall digitization rate of 74.10 per cent.
Goa and Lakshadweep have achieved a perfect 100 per cent distribution of EFs, followed by Andaman and Nicobar at 99.99 per cent, Madhya Pradesh at 99.89 per cent, West Bengal at 99.83 per cent, and Gujarat at 99.80 per cent.
Uttar Pradesh, the largest state by electorate size, has recorded a 99.72 per cent EF distribution, covering more than 15.39 crore electors.
Puducherry comes next with 97.83 per cent, followed closely by Tamil Nadu at 97.86 per cent and Kerala at 98.14 per cent.
In West Bengal, 7.65 crore electors, or 99.83 per cent of EFs, have been distributed.
The state has also digitized 74.10 per cent of EFs, according to an ECI statement.
In terms of digitization rates, Lakshadweep is leading with 100 per cent, followed by Goa at 92.69 per cent and Rajasthan at 89.56 per cent.
However, Uttar Pradesh has the slowest digitization rate at 54.97 per cent, with Kerala at 64.47 per cent.
The Election Commission has urged recognized political parties to appoint additional Booth Level Agents to expedite verification and digitization.
Furthermore, the ECI clarified that figures from Rajasthan do not account for the Anta Assembly constituency, where the revision was postponed due to a by-election.
The agency will continue to publish scheduled bulletins as the revision process approaches its December 4 deadline.
