How did SKY lead MI to 184/7 against PBKS in IPL 2025?

Jaipur, May 26 (NationPress) In a match where most batters struggled to shine, Suryakumar Yadav showcased his talent with a resilient 57, guiding Mumbai Indians to a total of 184/7 in 20 overs against Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Yadav, renowned for his creativity and aggressive style, has now demonstrated considerable endurance in his innings. His 57 runs came off 39 balls, allowing him to anchor the innings while his teammates found it challenging to score heavily, especially during the death overs.

After being invited to bat first, Ryan Rickelton (27) adopted an aggressive approach, hitting three boundaries within the first two overs. Rohit Sharma (24) faced difficulties, and it wasn't until the fourth over that MI began to attack the Punjab bowlers.

When Harpreet Brar took the ball, Rohit advanced down the pitch and sent it soaring for a six between deep mid-wicket and long-on, followed by a four on the next delivery.

With runs starting to flow, Shreyas Iyer brought Marco Jansen back into the attack, who had only conceded six runs in his first over, and he quickly struck, dismissing Rickelton with a well-placed delivery that was mis-timed into the hands of the PBKS captain at mid-on.

Yadav marked his entrance with a boundary on his first ball, helping Mumbai reach 52/1 by the end of the powerplay.

Rohit continued to struggle, finishing with 24 runs off 21 balls before falling to Brar, who caught him with a low catch.

In the last two overs, Naman Dhir (20) went on the offensive, starting Vyshak’s final over with two sixes. Yadav also hit two boundaries, reaching his fifth half-century of the season in just 34 balls.

Arshdeep claimed his only wicket of the match with a short delivery that Dhir mishandled, leading to a catch at deep square leg. He ended the innings effectively, allowing only three runs in the final over and catching Yadav LBW on the last ball.

On the bowling front, Marco Jansen, Vijaykumar Vishak, and Arshdeep Singh each took two wickets.
