New Delhi, Nov 8 (NationPress) The Southern Command of the Indian Army is actively engaged in a series of Tri-Service drills as part of Exercise TRISHUL, aimed at validating comprehensive land-sea-air integration while embodying the principles of JAI (Jointness, Atmanirbharta, and Innovation) in practice.
This exercise highlights the Armed Forces' growing multi-domain capabilities and their commitment to Atmanirbharta within the Defence sector, commencing with mission-driven validations to enhance integrated readiness across various domains.
“Encompassing electronic warfare, cyber operations, drone and counter-drone activities, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, as well as Air Defence Control and Reporting, these drills reinforce Tri-Service readiness to excel in both virtual and physical realms through cohesive Land, Sea, and Air integration for synchronized joint fires,” stated an official.
In the Thar Desert, formations from the Southern Command are executing rigorous integrated maneuvers through Exercises MaruJwala and Akhand Prahaar, aimed at validating combined arms operations, mobility, and joint fire integration under authentic conditions.
The training will culminate in a grand combat exercise that will validate precision targeting and multi-domain coordination, reaffirming the Army’s dedication to transformation through stringent training and operational validation.
“A collaborative exercise in the Kutch Sector, featuring the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and BSF, is practicing integrated operational capabilities in close cooperation with civil authorities, mirroring the Military–Civil Fusion approach to unified national security,” the official added.
The concluding phase of Exercise TRISHUL will feature a Joint Amphibious Exercise off the Saurashtra Coast, showcasing beach-landing operations by the Amphibious Forces of the Southern Command, thereby validating full-spectrum land-sea-air integration and emphasizing the Indian Armed Forces’ capacity to project power and synergy across diverse domains.
Exercise TRISHUL exemplifies the Armed Forces’ dedication to Jointness, Atmanirbharta, and Innovation. It also acts as a testing ground for the Indian Army’s Decade of Transformation initiative, centered around five key pillars: Jointness and Integration, Force Restructuring, Modernization and Tech Infusion, Enhancing Systems and Processes, and Developing Human Resource Skills to adapt to the evolving nature of warfare.
