New Delhi, Jan 30 (NationPress) Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murty, spouse of the esteemed businessman and Infosys founder Narayana Murthy, engaged in a conversation with IANS regarding her experience at the Kumbh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Fit India initiative.

During the interview, Sudha shared insights into her passion for archaeology, stating: "I have a deep appreciation for Indian archaeology. Any aspect of Indian history continues to feel like a subject I am eager to learn about. I find it incredibly enjoyable."

When discussing her devotion and visit to Mahakumbh, she said: "I practice devotion. Yes, we attended the Mahakumbh and participated in the holy dip three times. It is a matter of belief."

Elaborating on the unique occurrence of the Mahakumbh every 144 years, she remarked: "The younger generation is increasingly participating in Kumbh. Personally, I hold faith in it. My ancestors had aimed to dip in the Ganga, but they were unable to due to travel difficulties 70 years ago. I made a pledge that when Kumbh arises, I will conduct a ritual in their memory. It was essential for me to honor my commitment to them."

Regarding the essence of faith and devotion, she explained: "It is a deeply personal matter. What devotion resides in my heart is distinct from what you may feel; it is entirely private. I cannot elaborate much further."

On the rising obesity rates, especially among the youth, she advised: "One should prioritize healthy eating. Enjoyment of sweets is permissible, but moderation is crucial. Instead of ten, opt for two or three puris. We typically have just one. It is important to engage in physical activity and also practice mental exercises. Yoga and meditation are excellent for overall well-being."

When asked about her fitness regime and stress management, she said: "I avoid overthinking. Our expectations are modest. Even if we do have expectations, they should align with reality. Stress tends to arise when expectations exceed reality."
