New Delhi, Dec 2 (NationPress) The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) announced on Tuesday that the nation's largest trade event, titled 'Swadeshi Mela–2026', is set to take place at Pragati Maidan in May 2026. This event aims to showcase products that are Made in India on a consolidated national platform.
CAIT, in partnership with Swadeshi Jagran Manch and various other prominent national organizations, is organizing this event to unite India's domestic trade, start-up ecosystem, small industries, artisans, MSMEs, and 'Made in India' products.
A national steering board meeting involving top trade and industry leaders from every state is scheduled for December 4 to finalize the event's framework, theme, exhibition structure, and promotional strategy across the nation.
Praveen Khandelwal, CAIT National Secretary General and MP from Chandni Chowk, stated that this event will highlight the strength of India's trade, industry, and craftsmanship. It will create a significant platform for global visibility for 'Made in India' products and elevate Indian entrepreneurship.
This will be a remarkable opportunity for industries, start-ups, women entrepreneurs, artisans, and small manufacturers nationwide to showcase their products and innovations on both national and international stages, Khandelwal noted.
In addition to national trade organizations, leaders from farmer bodies, transport and logistics, travel and tourism, MSMEs, and start-up communities are also invited.
National representatives from Laghu Udyog Bharati, MSME Development Forum, Federation of Small Industries Association, and several professional bodies are expected to attend the event.
A nationwide campaign will be initiated to invite stalls for Swadeshi products from all over the country, and committees will be established for various sectors, including industry, trade, start-ups, women entrepreneurs, Ayurveda, handloom, handicraft, technology, e-commerce, and more.
