New Delhi, Nov 23 (NationPress) The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has announced a one-day National Traders Conference scheduled for November 25, aiming to finalize plans for the nationwide Swadeshi Sankalp Rath Yatra, which is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative to promote Swadeshi on a vast scale.
This conference will gather prominent trade leaders from various states.
According to CAIT, "The conference will also delve into the significant advantages of GST that the Prime Minister has introduced, as well as the swift expansion of internal and export trade under the vision of Ease of Doing Business."
Praveen Khandelwal, CAIT National Secretary General and Member of Parliament from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, remarked that this meeting holds great importance as it will discuss the rapidly changing trade environment in the country, the challenges traders face, future strategies, and ways to further fortify the organization.
He emphasized that to extend Prime Minister Modi’s call of “Sell Swadeshi – Buy Swadeshi” nationwide, the Swadeshi Sankalp Rath Yatra will be rolled out across the country.
“One such Rath, which commenced in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, is now progressing into Chhattisgarh. Starting December 1, two additional Rath Yatras will begin their village-to-village tours throughout Madhya Pradesh. The conference will finalize similar initiatives for other states,” Khandelwal stated.
Additionally, the meeting will address the increasing incidents of cyber fraud targeting traders and develop strategies to combat these issues.
Given the escalating cyber threats in the digital age, the conference will finalize robust security measures and awareness programs for traders.
Moreover, discussions will include skill development initiatives for traders and their staff, featuring specialized training modules on digital skills, financial management, technology adoption, and modern business practices, with plans for extensive workshops nationwide.
The agenda further includes deliberations on the implementation, operations, and monitoring of the Swadeshi Sankalp Rath Yatra, aiming to make the campaign more extensive, impactful, and results-driven.
Over 100 leading traders from across India are expected to attend the conference, which will be presided over by CAIT National President B. C. Bhartia, as noted in the statement.
