New Delhi, Sep 21 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted that India’s path towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) will flourish when both the Centre and state governments collaborate with vigor. He stressed the significance of Swadeshi (indigenous products) as the foundation for India’s wealth, urging citizens to embrace the pride of purchasing and promoting goods produced in India.

In his address, the Prime Minister noted that just as the Swadeshi philosophy empowered the freedom struggle, it will now fuel India’s success in contemporary times.

“Today, consciously or unconsciously, numerous foreign products have infiltrated our daily lives. From the combs we carry to various essentials, we often overlook whether these items are foreign or made in India. We must liberate ourselves from this dependency and intentionally select products crafted in India, born from the dedication and effort of our youth, sons, and daughters,” he remarked.

PM Modi urged every Indian household and business to embrace Swadeshi, stating: “Adorn your homes and shops with Swadeshi. Declare with pride — this is Swadeshi. Proclaim with pride — I purchase Swadeshi, I also sell Swadeshi. This mindset should resonate within every Indian. Once this attitude strengthens, Bharat will flourish rapidly.”

The Prime Minister also called on state governments to expedite local manufacturing, foster a favorable investment climate, and actively contribute to the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

“When both the Centre and states unite in their efforts, the aspiration of a self-reliant India will materialize. Every state will thrive, and in turn, India will prosper,” he affirmed.

This address coincides with the upcoming implementation of new GST reforms, set to take effect on September 22, which the government has positioned as a significant stride towards economic efficiency and savings for consumers.
