New Delhi, May 30 (NationPress) Congress MP Pramod Tiwari on Friday emphatically supported Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's audacious assertion that Rahul Gandhi, if elected as Prime Minister, would reclaim Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).
Tiwari characterized the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, as a "courageous and committed leader" whose dedication to the nation has become increasingly apparent over the years.
“I want to state this unequivocally, with certainty and conviction: Rahul Gandhi, particularly following his 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, has positioned himself as a brave, determined, and valiant leader,” Tiwari remarked.
“He possesses the strength, the resolve, and the will. The day he takes the helm of this nation, that day PoK will be liberated and integrated into India. I have complete faith that this will come to fruition,” he continued.
Tiwari's endorsement followed comments made by CM Revanth Reddy during a Congress 'Jai Hind Yatra' event in Nizampet, Hyderabad, where Reddy criticized the Modi government's handling of military strategies against Pakistan.
“Why was there no all-party meeting convened before announcing the ceasefire? One was held prior to the strikes. Why not before concluding them?” Reddy questioned, while also ridiculing the Prime Minister, dubbing him an “expired rupee.”
Tiwari contrasted the actions of LoP Gandhi with those of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was scheduled to visit Poonch.
“As far as I know, the Home Minister is heading to Poonch today. But let's be honest, he is only doing so because Rahul Gandhi went there first. Will he dare to enter the homes that were damaged? Will he visit the bunkers and speak with the affected families?” Tiwari probed.
“Or will he merely conduct a formal meeting within a secured area, ticking off a checklist? This illustrates the difference between Rahul Gandhi and the BJP.”
Tiwari also urged the Prime Minister to recognize the sacrifice of Subham, a victim of a recent tragic event, whose widow LoP Gandhi had personally met in Kanpur.
“Rahul Gandhi reached out to the family, while the Prime Minister lacked the courage to do so. I sincerely urge PM Modi to at least fulfill that daughter’s wish and bestow martyr status upon her husband, who may have saved countless lives through his sacrifice.”
