Hyderabad, May 30 (NationPress) Union Coal and Mines Minister and BJP leader G. Kishan Reddy has sharply criticized Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for allegedly undermining the triumph of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan.
While the nation rejoices in the armed forces' achievements, Reddy accused Revanth of attempting to portray the victory as merely a BJP initiative.
During a press briefing in New Delhi, Kishan Reddy responded vigorously to comments made by Revanth Reddy during Congress' Jai Hind yatra in Hyderabad on Thursday.
As the State BJP President, Kishan Reddy stated that members of Parliament are globally advocating for the necessity of 'Operation Sindoor'.
Addressing Revanth Reddy's assertion that Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) would have been integrated into India under a Rahul Gandhi premiership, Kishan Reddy questioned who ceded POK to Pakistan.
The BJP leader contended that the Congress party's policies have contributed to the ongoing complexity surrounding POK.
He emphasized that, unlike previous administrations that merely comforted victims of terrorist acts, the Modi government has taken decisive action.
"The government has crossed into Pakistani territory to execute surgical strikes. The world has witnessed how India retaliated fiercely against Pakistan following the Pahalgam terrorist attack," he stated.
Earlier, the BJP's Telangana unit tweeted that Revanth Reddy not only echoed Pakistan's narrative regarding the Rafale deal and 'Operation Sindoor' but also went further by labeling it as 'Mana Pakistan' (Our Pakistan).
The BJP accused the Congress party of having a history of questioning operations like surgical strikes and Balakot airstrikes, mocking the armed forces, and opposing the Agnipath scheme, suggesting that standing against India is ingrained in the Congress party's identity.
The BJP urged the Chief Minister to focus on his photo opportunities instead of national security matters.
In response, Revanth Reddy criticized the BJP-led NDA government for failing to convene an all-party meeting prior to the ceasefire announcement with Pakistan.
He challenged the Union government's unilateral decisions, accusing it of lacking strategy, courage, and transparency.
The Chief Minister demanded clarification on the sudden ceasefire with Pakistan and questioned how many Rafale jets have been lost.
Meanwhile, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Ravula Sridhar Reddy also condemned Revanth Reddy for his perceived irresponsible comments about the Indian Army.
He criticized the Chief Minister for questioning the military's capabilities to appease the Congress High Command and reminded him of Congress's responsibility for the Kashmir issue.
