Hyderabad, Feb 27 (NationPress) Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy issued a challenge to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday, demanding proof of his claim that Reddy is obstructing the Union government’s approval for projects in Telangana.

This challenge came in response to Revanth Reddy's assertion that Kishan Reddy is hindering the approval process for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-2.

During an informal discussion with journalists in Delhi on Wednesday, the Chief Minister alleged that Kishan Reddy was blocking the project.

Kishan Reddy, who is also the leader of the BJP in Telangana, criticized Revanth Reddy for making statements that he viewed as ignorant for someone in the Chief Minister role.

The BJP leader commented that Revanth Reddy's rise to the chief ministership was unfortunate for the people of Telangana. “The Central government operates based on a well-defined policy and procedure. Revanth Reddy is engaging in blackmail politics and behaving like a bully,” Kishan Reddy told reporters in Delhi.

After a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Wednesday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy accused Kishan Reddy of delaying the Centre’s approval for state-related projects.

“Kishan Reddy prevented the Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-2 from reaching the Cabinet for approval, fearing that I would receive the credit. For me, the state’s welfare is more crucial than personal recognition. If Kishan Reddy is willing, he can facilitate project approvals and funding for the state and take the credit,” Revanth Reddy stated.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that he had asked the Prime Minister for assistance in completing five essential projects for the state’s growth.

Revanth Reddy further stated that as central ministers, Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay should either secure approvals and funding for these projects or consider relocating to Gujarat or another state.
