Why did PM Modi lash out at the Opposition over 'Operation Sindoor' remarks?

Varanasi, Aug 2 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday delivered a fierce critique of the Opposition for their skepticism towards the success of 'Operation Sindoor', labeling it a 'tamasha'. He asserted that the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) seem more concerned about the situation in Pakistan than the welfare of India.

Modi accused Congress of consistently disrespecting the courage of the Indian armed forces and criticized them for questioning the measures taken during 'Operation Sindoor'. He made pointed remarks against the Opposition, implying that they sympathize with terrorists rather than supporting the nation's military.

Speaking to a large audience in his constituency Varanasi, the Prime Minister stated, 'Sadly, some individuals cannot accept the success of 'Operation Sindoor'. Congress and its associates are struggling to swallow the fact that India has dismantled Pakistan's terror camps. I want to ask you all -- do you take pride in India's strength? Are you proud of 'Operation Sindoor' and the destruction of terrorist camps?'

'It is evident that Pakistan is distressed. However, Congress and the Samajwadi Party cannot bear to witness Pakistan's turmoil. The masters of terror in Pakistan are lamenting, while Congress and SP are lamenting over the fate of terrorists,' the Prime Minister remarked.

He also referenced Congress MP Pariniti Shinde's comments in Parliament, where she referred to 'Operation Sindoor' as a 'tamasha' orchestrated by the government. 'Operation Sindoor was merely a media spectacle by the government. No one is clarifying what was accomplished in this Operation,' she had stated.

'Congress continuously belittles the bravery of our forces. They have branded 'Operation Sindoor' a 'tamasha'. Tell me, can 'Sindoor' ever be a 'tamasha'? How can anyone make such a disgraceful statement?' he questioned.

He continued, 'There are various forms of Lord Shiv; one is for 'Kalyan' (development), and the other is 'Rudra roop'. When faced with terror and injustice, Mahadev embodies his 'Rudra roop'. The world witnessed this aspect of India during 'Operation Sindoor'. Those who attack India will not evade punishment even in Pataal Lok.'

The Prime Minister pledged that if Pakistan attempts another act of terror, India will retaliate with 'Made in India' weaponry.

He also emphasized the success of homegrown weapons and the growing strength of India's defense manufacturing.

'During 'Operation Sindoor', the world observed the might of 'Made in India' weapons -- our drones, missiles, Air Defense Systems, especially BrahMos missiles. Pakistan is restless because of BrahMos. I am proud to announce that these missiles will now be produced in UP. In Lucknow, BrahMos production is commencing. Major defense companies are arriving at the UP Defense Corridor. 'Made in India' weapons will soon become the backbone of our armed forces,' he declared.

'If Pakistan dares another act, the missiles manufactured in UP will obliterate the terror bases,' he added.

The Prime Minister commenced his address with chants of 'Om Namah Parvati Pataye, Har Har Mahadev', recalling the sorrow caused by the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.

'I prayed to Baba Vishwanath for strength for the victims' families. I had promised the daughters that I would avenge their 'sindoor'. Today, with Mahadev's blessings, I have fulfilled that promise. I dedicate the triumph of 'Operation Sindoor' at the feet of Mahadev.'
