Kolkata, May 29 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Thursday that Operation Sindoor, the mission through which the Indian Armed Forces dismantled numerous terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, remains ongoing.
“The citizens of West Bengal were outraged following the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22. Those accountable for the Pahalgam massacre have been put on notice regarding the strength of Sindoor by the Indian Armed Forces. Pakistan could never have anticipated such a response,” PM Modi remarked.
“I want to make it unequivocally clear that Operation Sindoor continues. We have struck them on their territory three times already. If any further attacks occur, the adversaries will incur an even greater cost,” the Prime Minister declared while addressing a rally organized by the BJP in the Alipurduar district of northern West Bengal.
During his address, the Prime Minister emphasized that aside from terrorism, Pakistan has nothing beneficial to contribute to the global community.
“Since its formation, it has solely fostered terror. Pakistan initiated terror attacks against India immediately after the partition in 1947. Subsequently, they perpetrated similar acts of terror in the region now known as Bangladesh. The horrific actions of Pakistani soldiers, including widespread rapes and murders, are well known. Terror and genocide are the primary weapons of the Pakistan Army,” the Prime Minister asserted.
He indicated that Pakistan would certainly face defeat in a direct conflict with India. “This is why the Pakistan Army relies on terrorists. However, following the Pahalgam incident, India has conveyed a message to the world: those orchestrating terror attacks will face dire consequences,” the Prime Minister stated.
He further noted that a thriving India cannot exist without a thriving Bengal. “That’s why the Union government has invested thousands of crores in the development of West Bengal over the past decade,” the Prime Minister added.
Prior to the rally, he participated in a ceremony to lay the foundation for the City Gas Distribution (CGD) project for the Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts of West Bengal.
