Dahod, May 26 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his two-day visit to Gujarat, addressed a gathering and stated that Operation Sindoor—a series of Indian military actions targeting terrorist camps and infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on May 7—was more than a mere military initiative. It represented a profound expression of the values and sentiments held by 140 crore Indians.
While speaking at a rally in Dahod, PM Modi commended the security forces for delivering a stern message to India's adversaries, asserting, “If anyone dares to erase the sindoor of our sisters, their demise is inevitable. Therefore, Operation Sindoor is not just a military action but also a manifestation of our values and the deep feelings we cherish.”
In reference to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, PM Modi remarked that the terrorists had the audacity to challenge 140 crore Indians, and as a result, they and their backers faced consequences for their heinous act, emphasizing that India did not remain silent this time, unlike in the past.
“Can India be silent following the terrorists' actions in Pahalgam? Can Modi stay silent?” he questioned the audience.
PM Modi further emphasized that his administration granted full authority to the armed forces, leading to the swift dismantling of significant terrorist camps across the border in a mere 22 minutes.
“We identified nine terrorist hideouts along the border and obliterated them on the night of May 6-7. When the Pakistani Army reacted to India's military response with aggression, our forces also overcame the Pakistani Army,” PM Modi stated, earning loud cheers from the crowd.
Significantly, this visit marked PM Modi's first trip to his home state after the Indian military's strike on Pakistani bases as part of Operation Sindoor.
PM Modi criticized Pakistan for its ongoing anti-India sentiment, stating that after partition, the newly formed nation had a singular focus—nurturing hatred towards India and obstructing its progress. In contrast, we have a clear objective—to advance, eradicate poverty, and build a Viskit Bharat.
“A genuinely developed India is achievable only when our armed forces are robust, alongside a thriving economy. We are tirelessly working toward this goal with unwavering commitment and resolve,” he underscored.
Just a day earlier, in his monthly radio address 'Mann Ki Baat', PM Modi remarked that Operation Sindoor was not only a military endeavor but also the “embodiment of a transforming India.”
He praised the “precision and accuracy” with which the forces targeted terrorist installations across the border and commended the indigenous innovations that wreaked havoc on terror sites.
