New Delhi, May 13 (NationPress) Leaders from the opposition applauded 'Operation Sindoor' and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphatic message directed at Pakistan on Monday evening.
In a display of unity, RJD leader Manoj Jha expressed his support for Prime Minister Modi’s address to the nation following the successful execution of 'Operation Sindoor', recognizing the seriousness of the situation and the national sentiment surrounding the cross-border operation targeting terrorism.
RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha remarked, “This is significant. The Prime Minister is the leader of our nation and embodies our collective voice. Following the incidents at Pahalgam, our entire nation was aligned in thought.”
He further emphasized that the Prime Minister’s sentiments echoed the shared emotions of the populace, stating, “At the launch of 'Operation Sindoor', the entire country resonated with the same ideology. The briefings provided by our forces and the communications were both consistent and impactful, delivering a message that was heard around the world.”
Samajwadi Party MP Mohibbullah Nadvi reflected similar views, describing the Prime Minister’s statements as “genuine and heartfelt”, while advocating for a more formalized approach.
“It would have been advantageous to convene a special session of Parliament, enabling the Prime Minister to engage directly with all parties, fostering dialogue and unity,” Nadvi suggested.
The Prime Minister’s national address, delivered on Monday night, followed India’s successful counter-terror operation and a tactical ceasefire agreement with Pakistan. In his speech, PM Modi outlined a three-pronged anti-terror strategy, indicating a shift in India's security framework.
He asserted that India will not accept nuclear blackmail, stating, “Terrorists and their supporters, whether inside or outside of a nation, will be treated uniformly.”
He clarified that India’s battle against terrorism is a global endeavor, and that the situation in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) remains the sole unresolved topic for dialogue with Islamabad.
PM Modi’s assertive tone and clarity were interpreted as indicative of India’s evolving ‘new normal’, where decisive responses, pre-emptive actions, and a global pursuit against terrorism threats are central to national security.
