Varanasi, May 13 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following his national address regarding the triumph of Operation Sindoor, visited Adampur airbase in Punjab on Tuesday to honor and celebrate the bravery of the armed forces.
The armed forces' swift and well-organized reaction to the Pahalgam massacre, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists on April 22, has garnered admiration from both political leaders and the general public, especially those in his Lok Sabha constituency.
Numerous local residents of Varanasi expressed their views to IANS about the armed forces engaging in a decisive battle against terrorism, delivering a significant setback to both the terrorists and their backers. They commended PM Modi’s steadfast commitment to combatting terrorism and echoed his assertion that terror and dialogue cannot coexist, insisting that Pakistan should face consequences for its actions.
A local from Varanasi remarked to IANS, “Pakistan claimed to have destroyed Adampur airbase. Today, PM Modi visited and celebrated the achievements of Operation Sindoor with the soldiers and air warriors, all chanting in unison – Bharat Mata Ki Jai. This has dealt a blow to Pakistan and its allies.”
He further noted that the three significant strikes under the Modi administration – namely the Surgical Strikes, Balakot Airstrikes, and now Operation Sindoor – have imparted a crucial lesson to Pakistan. This is 'Naya India', and India’s adversaries will no longer be spared.
He added, “Pakistan’s global identity is that of a begging nation; however, it continues to pose a threat to global peace due to its terrorism hubs and the extremists that emerge from them. It boasts of a nuclear threat, but Prime Minister Modi and our military have imparted the right lesson.”
Comparing Operation Sindoor to the ancient wars of the Ramayana, he stated, “PM Modi made the right choice to initiate a counter-offensive against the terror networks and dismantle their entire framework. The world today demands decisive actions against terrorism.”
Another local praised India for curtailing water supplies to a nation that sponsors terrorism by suspending the Indus Waters Treaty.
“Pakistan is a devious nation. Without significant economic and military lessons, it won’t change its course,” he insisted.
An elderly resident responded to PM Modi’s “ghar mein ghus kar...” remarks by stating that this approach is necessary, as the terror nation will not amend its ways unless held accountable.
“With Modi, anything is possible,” he and others affirmed firmly.
A local dismissed Pakistan’s nuclear threats, asserting that while it boasts about its armaments, its claims are ultimately baseless and devoid of substance.
“Pakistan has no real capacity against India. However, the Indian Armed Forces and their arsenal have undergone a significant transformation under PM Modi’s leadership,” he stated.
Regarding the issue of nuclear blackmail, another resident expressed confidence that Pakistan will now hesitate to engage in acts of terrorism again.
When asked about India striking targets within enemy territory, a resident noted, “There have been no terrorist incidents in the country except in Jammu and Kashmir. The decisive actions taken by the Army have delivered a significant blow to the Pakistan Army and its political leaders.”
