London, Feb 3 (NationPress) Striker Mathys Tel is highly sought after as Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly outmaneuvered other Premier League clubs to secure his signature on a loan deal that includes no option for a permanent transfer.

As per a report from Sky Germany, Tel is currently en route to London with his agent to finalize the agreement with Tottenham, which will see him join the club until the conclusion of the 2024-25 season. His agent shared an image on Instagram showing the Bayern Munich prodigy aboard a private jet heading to London.

The 19-year-old forward developed at Rennes and was acquired by the German powerhouse Bayern in 2022 for an estimated fee of 28.5 million Euros.

Tel made history by scoring in Bayern's emphatic 5-0 victory over Viktoria Koln, becoming the club's youngest scorer in a competitive match at just 17 years and 126 days old. Since then, he has made 83 appearances for Bayern, netting 16 goals and providing seven assists.

Throughout the January transfer window, Tel has been a hot commodity. Previous reports indicated that Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy traveled to Munich to negotiate a deal, but his overtures were initially turned down by the young striker. However, after engaging discussions with head coach Ange Postecoglou, Tel was convinced to join Spurs.

In addition to Spurs, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea were all vying for Tel's signature. Arsenal, looking to enhance their attack, expressed interest in signing the striker, but they were unwilling to include an option to buy, which did not align with Bayern's intentions to capitalize on their talented forward.
