Kolkata, Oct 16 (NationPress) As the significant West Bengal Assembly elections approach next year, the Trinamool Congress has rolled out a new digital outreach initiative aimed at engaging everyday citizens in this effort.
The launch was announced by the National General Secretary of the party and Lok Sabha member, Abhishek Banerjee, via a video message shared on his social media platform X.
Titled "Ami Banglar Digital Joddha" (I Am Bengal's Digital Warrior), this programme includes the unveiling of a dedicated website, 'ABdigitlajoddha.com', designed for the state's residents to participate in the digital campaign.
Individuals interested in joining the campaign can register their details on the website, providing their name, mobile number, district, and Assembly constituency where they are eligible to vote.
In his explanation for this digital outreach initiative, Abhishek Banerjee emphasized the need to respond to the ongoing "anti-Bengal" digital campaigns propagated by opposing forces in the digital realm.
"We must advocate for Bengal's rights, dignity, and truth, and respond with clarity and conviction. Therefore, I am launching 'Ami Banglar Digital Joddha', a movement led by the people and the youth to safeguard West Bengal's identity, promote its truth, and communicate its message of pride and advancement across India and the globe," he stated in his posts on X.
This initiative serves as a rallying cry for the youths of West Bengal, who are eager to counteract the prevailing "anti-Bengal" narratives online.
"To every young individual who stands against the defamation of Bengal, this is your call to action. Join as a Digital Joddha. Empower Bengal’s future. Sign up using the link below and let the world see what Bengal can accomplish when united," Abhishek Banerjee urged.
Insiders within the party revealed that this initiative is a response to the extensive digital campaigns being conducted by both the BJP and CPI-M, which focus on various issues that challenge the state government and the Trinamool Congress.
"Many of these campaigns are misleading and defamatory, necessitating a counteractive strategy against the Opposition's digital efforts," a senior leader from Trinamool Congress remarked.
The initiative also seeks to unify pro-Trinamool digital creators on a shared platform to disseminate the party's narrative effectively in the digital landscape.
