Washington, Oct 3 (NationPress) US President Donald Trump has issued a stern ultimatum to Hamas, demanding the signing of his Gaza peace plan by Sunday or face dire consequences where "all hell will break loose."
In a message shared on Truth Social on Friday, Trump declared, "An agreement must be finalized with Hamas by Sunday evening at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time. Every country has signed on! If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will erupt against Hamas."
He warned that members of Hamas would face targeting and elimination if they refuse to comply with his plan and urged Palestinians to "immediately evacuate" the conflict zone.
“In retaliation for the October 7th attack on civilization, over 25,000 Hamas 'soldiers' have already perished. The remaining forces are encircled and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just awaiting my command to "GO" for their swift annihilation. As for the rest, we know your identities and you will be pursued, and eliminated. I urge all innocent Palestinians to vacate this potentially deadly area for safer parts of Gaza. Help is on the way," asserted the US President.
On Tuesday, Trump expressed optimism about concluding the Gaza war, stating he has “got it settled” and is “going to get that done.”
“We think we have it settled. We’ll see. Hamas must agree. If not, it will be very challenging for them, but that’s the reality. All Arab nations and Muslim nations have consented. Israel has also agreed. It's remarkable how it just fell into place,” Trump mentioned while addressing over 800 senior military officers in Virginia.
Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza proposes the creation of a temporary technocratic government, with Israel committing not to annex the Strip and ensuring no residents are forcibly displaced.
The proposal stipulates an immediate cessation of hostilities if accepted, with all captives, both living and deceased, to be returned within 72 hours.
Trump indicated he would allow “three or four days” for Hamas to respond to the proposal.
The Gaza war ignited nearly two years ago, following Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, resulting in the deaths of 1,200 individuals and the abduction of 251 hostages. Approximately 48 individuals are believed to remain in captivity, with around 20 thought to be alive.
