Washington, Jan 1 (NationPress) US President Donald Trump declared that his New Year’s resolution is “peace on earth” during a festive gathering at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. This aspiration was shared briefly before he shifted to discussing the broader state of the nation.

When questioned about his resolution at the New Year’s Eve celebration, Trump emphasized: “Peace. Peace on earth. Peace on earth.” He refrained from commenting on the CIA’s involvement in an attack on Venezuela or potential military action in Ukraine.

Numerous prominent individuals were invited by Trump and the First Lady for the New Year's Eve festivities, which were described as vibrant and theatrical by a White House pool report.

A black carpet inscribed with “Happy New Year Mar A Lago” in gold awaited guests at the entrance. Musicians performed “God Bless America” and the “Star Spangled Banner” amidst tall white candles.

Inside the ballroom, a grand white floral display greeted attendees, with a band playing “I’ve Had the Time of My Life”.

Trump shared that the country was “doing really well”, citing what he described as unprecedented investments flowing into the United States. He remarked on factories being constructed “all over the country” and referenced growth figures that he claimed surpassed expectations.

He also highlighted revenue from tariffs, stating the US collected “hundreds of millions of dollars”, while discussing military funding, asserting that the nation was “back” and “strong”. Trump expressed confidence in the economic turnaround, noting record levels of investment coming into the country.

“I just want to inform you that the country is doing exceptionally well,” he stated, adding that the US had attracted more investment “than any country ever in the history of the world by a lot.”

Trump pointed to factories emerging “all over the country” and described it as “really exciting to see.” He expressed confidence in growth figures that exceeded predictions, referencing recent data that illustrated the economy's strength.

He welcomed the revenue from tariffs and mentioned military funding: “We gave the military the entire military $1,776. That’s not bad,” he said.

“We’re extremely happy that we’re doing excellently as a nation. We’re back. We’re strong,” Trump affirmed, indicating that the revitalization was happening faster than anticipated.

Trump praised Congressman Tom Emmer for his remarks about the Somalian population and thanked the leaders present, urging continued efforts to “take back our country.” He also addressed allegations of financial misconduct, stating that authorities were revealing billions in losses, promising recovery of the funds.

A highlight of the evening was a live art performance. Trump invited artist Vanessa Horabuena to the stage, calling her among the greatest artists worldwide. Accompanied by a band playing a Christian worship song, she painted a canvas while dancing, ultimately revealing a portrait of Jesus.

Trump auctioned the painting, announcing proceeds would support St. Jude’s and the sheriff’s department. He launched the bidding at $100,000 and later offered to sign the portrait to increase its value. The painting sold for $2.75 million.

Notable attendees included Sergio Gor, the US ambassador to India, businessman Phil Ruffin, Donald Trump Jr., Rudy Giuliani, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Other guests were Eric and Lara Trump, Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani, and White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino. Reports indicated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also in attendance, according to an Instagram post.

Trump addressed alleged financial misconduct, stating authorities were tracking down billions in losses. “Can you imagine they stole $18 billion? That’s just what we’re uncovering,” he remarked, promising continued investigations.

“It was a massive scam,” Trump concluded, vowing to recover the funds. “It’s all coming back,” he asserted, framing the effort as part of a “green New Year.”
