Washington, Feb 25 (NationPress) On Tuesday night, US President Donald Trump proclaimed that America has experienced “a remarkable turnaround” in merely one year of his administration, telling Congress that the nation has undergone “a transformation unlike any other.”

“This evening, after just one year, I stand here with dignity and pride to announce that we have achieved a transformation unlike any other and a turnaround for the ages. We will not revert back to our previous state,” Trump stated in excerpts from his State of the Union address shared by IANS from the White House.

His inaugural State of the Union Address during his second term is anticipated to set records for its duration, with informed sources suggesting it might exceed 1.45 minutes.

Referencing the foundational values of the United States, he remarked, “From 1776 to the present, each generation of Americans has stepped forward to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for those who come next. Now, it is our moment.”

He emphasized that his administration is creating “a nation where every child can aspire to greater heights and achieve more—where the government serves the people, not the powerful—and where the interests of hardworking American citizens are always our foremost concern.”

Regarding the economy, Trump forecasted ongoing domestic growth. “As we progress, factories, jobs, investments, and trillions of dollars will continue to flow into the United States of America—because we finally have a president who prioritizes America,” he stated.

He criticized previous administrations for “stealing and rigging everything to siphon wealth from the diligent, hardworking individuals who sustain our nation.”

The President also asserted achievements in reducing drug costs. “I am putting an end to the exorbitant prices of prescription medications. Other presidents attempted to tackle this issue, but they failed. They were all talk and no action. I made it happen,” he claimed.

On housing policy, Trump announced, “Last month, I signed an Executive Order prohibiting large Wall Street investment firms from purchasing thousands of single-family homes.” He reiterated his request for Congress to make this ban permanent, stating, “Homes are for individuals, not corporations.”

Addressing corruption and alleged fraud, Trump cited Minnesota as a prime example, claiming, “There has been no more shocking instance than in Minnesota—where members of the Somali community have allegedly misappropriated an estimated $19 billion from American taxpayers.”

On border and homeland security, he accused Democrats of slashing funding. “As we speak, Democrats in this chamber have halted all funding for the Department of Homeland Security. They have dismantled the agency tasked with safeguarding Americans from terrorists and criminals,” he declared.

“Tonight, I demand the full and immediate restoration of all funding for the Border Security and Homeland Security of the United States.”

He vowed to ensure community safety, stating, “dangerous repeat offenders are continually released by pro-crime politicians.”

Concerning foreign policy, Trump said, “As President, I will seek peace wherever possible—but I will not shy away from confronting threats to America whenever necessary.” He also pledged to restore “American security and dominance in the Western Hemisphere,” mentioning that “large areas of our region, including significant parts of Mexico, are under the control of violent drug cartels.”

Concluding on a patriotic note, he proclaimed, “The Revolution that commenced in 1776 has not concluded—it continues, as the flame of Liberty and Independence still ignites the hearts of every American Patriot.”
