Washington, March 5 (NationPress) US President Donald Trump, during his inaugural address to a joint session of Congress, proclaimed that the American dream is unstoppable and indicated that the nation is on the brink of a resurgence unlike anything the world has ever seen, and possibly will never see again.

The president celebrated his accomplishments from the first six weeks in office, pledging to continue his controversial efforts to transform the US government and resolve the conflict in Ukraine, regardless of the consequences.

"In just 43 days, we have achieved more than most administrations do in four or even eight years — and we are only getting started," Trump stated, eliciting enthusiastic chants of "USA, USA!" from supportive lawmakers.

"In the past six weeks, I have enacted nearly 100 Executive Orders and performed over 400 Executive Actions - a record-breaking effort to restore common sense, security, hope, and prosperity throughout our great nation. The people chose me to fulfill this role, and I am doing just that," he added.

The 78-year-old President expressed that he was only beginning his ambitious initiatives to reshape the nation.

"The American Dream is flourishing — larger and more vibrant than ever before. The American Dream cannot be stopped, and our nation is poised for a comeback like no one has ever experienced, and perhaps will never experience again," he declared.

Trump also shared his economic vision, even as the trade disputes he initiated with Canada, China, and Mexico are unsettling global markets.

During his speech, Trump criticized Democrats for their lack of endorsement, accusing them of dismissing his accomplishments regardless of his actions.

"There is literally nothing I can say that would please them, or make them stand, smile, or applaud," he commented.

He went on to say, "Even if I discovered a cure for a devastating disease, they would still withhold their support... It’s very unfortunate, and it shouldn’t be this way," he remarked.

While addressing Congress, Trump quickly emphasized his electoral win, asserting that it provided him with “a mandate like has not been seen in many decades.”

His statements were met with loud applause and chants of “USA!” from Republican members, while some lawmakers responded with disapproval.

Highlighting his victory, Trump characterized the electoral map as one that “is almost entirely red for the Republican Party.”
