Amaravati, July 22 (NationPress) The Minister of Economy for the United Arab Emirates, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, held a meeting with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday.
Also present was Yusuff Ali M.A., the Chairman and Managing Director of LuLu International.
“I had the honor of meeting H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, the esteemed Minister of Economy of the UAE, along with Mr. Yusuff Ali M.A. and Mr. Adeeb Ahamed, Managing Director of LuLu Financial Holdings,” the Chief Minister shared on the social media platform X.
“We engaged in fruitful discussions about potential investment and development opportunities in Andhra Pradesh,” he added.
In a separate review meeting on agriculture, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to gather crop information for every land survey using satellites.
He noted that a satellite survey in Bhalabhadrapuram village of Bikkavolu mandal in East Godavari district provided comprehensive data. He stressed the importance of comparing field-level data with satellite data to guide farmers in cultivating uniform crops.
He emphasized that Rythu Seva Kendras should offer continuous advice and support. The CM instructed that after the resurvey and updating of revenue records, agriculture records must also be revised.
The review also explored utilizing AI chatbots to help farmers with crop planning and value addition. The Chief Minister highlighted the need for farmers to receive vital information through Artificial Intelligence.
Additionally, officials reported that eKYC has been completed for 47,41,792 farmers as part of the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme. The CM directed officials to use the e-Crop platform to identify eligible beneficiaries and ensure financial aid reaches all farmers in the state.
The CM reiterated his commitment to agriculture, announcing plans for virtual meetings with Water Users Associations for direct interaction. Officials explained that, except for a few districts in South Coastal Andhra, the rest of the state has experienced normal rainfall during the Kharif season.
They reported that major projects in the Krishna, Godavari, and Vamsadhara basins are full, and due to plentiful rains, the cultivation area has expanded, with crops now grown in 9.90 lakh hectares.
However, the CM suggested advancing the crop calendar to mitigate losses from cyclones and heavy rains while allowing for a second crop. He instructed ministers, MLAs, and officials to engage with farmers to increase awareness, stressing that there should be no talk of drought and calling for efficient water usage from projects.
