Bhopal, Nov 26 (NationPress) The 'Unity March', which began in Nagpur (Maharashtra) to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, is set to enter Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, along with Indore Mayor Pushyamitara Bhargava and MP Shankar Lalwani, will be present to welcome the yatra (unity march).
Indore District Collector Shivam Verma, Corporation Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav, and numerous other officials and local BJP leaders will also take part in the event.
According to senior public representatives, CM Yadav will inaugurate the event after laying a wreath at Patel's statue near Khajrana Temple, after which the march will officially commence.
Mayor Bhargava and BJP State Vice President Surendra Sharma have reviewed the final arrangements alongside senior officials from the district administration and police on Tuesday.
As per Mayor Bhargava, the day will kick off with a yoga session, followed by a presentation on Indore's cleanliness initiatives and an interactive discussion on Swachhata efforts.
Additionally, Chief Minister Yadav will engage in a sapling planting drive under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign at Khajrana Temple.
Afterward, the Chief Minister will garland Patel's statue at Chhoti Gwaltoli and address the crowd, marking the official launch of the Unity March.
From Indore, the Yatra will then journey towards Godhara in Gujarat, traversing two other districts of Madhya Pradesh - Dhar and Jhabua.
This event is one of four 'Unity Yatras' being held nationwide to celebrate Patel's 150th birth anniversary.
