Vibrant Gujarat Exhibition 2026: Vadodara to host MSMEs, startups June 29
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Vadodara will host the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition (VGRE) 2026 from 29 June to 3 July at GSFC University, the Gujarat state government announced on Tuesday, 23 June. Spanning more than 8,200 square metres across three large domes, the exhibition will bring together MSMEs, startups, women entrepreneurs, tribal producers, cooperatives, and major industries from across Central Gujarat on a single platform.
Scale and Schedule
The exhibition runs alongside the two-day Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) scheduled for 29 and 30 June. Spread across three thematic domes, the venue will be open to visitors daily from 10 am to 5:30 pm throughout the five-day event. Facilities including covered walkways, registration counters, help desks, medical services, and a food court will be available on-site.
What Each Hall Features
The first hall is dedicated to industry and corporate participation, bringing together private companies, public sector undertakings, and cooperative organisations. Financial and regulatory institutions — including the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and MCX — will offer information on investment and financial awareness, while GEDA and JETRO will present domestic and international collaboration opportunities.
The second hall focuses on innovation, startups, and livelihoods. It will feature 25 to 27 artisans associated with iNDEXTb, more than 30 startup participants from the Gujarat Student Startup and Innovation Hub, and a Tribal Haat with more than 25 stalls displaying traditional handicrafts and locally produced goods. IIT Gandhinagar will participate in a technology pavilion, while the State Bank of India and Amul will present developments in financial services and the food sector respectively.
The third hall targets entrepreneurship development and export opportunities. The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) will organise a Udyami Mela, while the Office of the MSME Commissioner and the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), in collaboration with the Gujarat government, will host a Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) to connect small businesses and artisans with global markets.
Key Business Events
The Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet and the Udyami Mela are the centrepiece business-focused events of the exhibition. Organisers say these are designed to facilitate direct interaction between MSMEs, artisans, and entrepreneurs on one side, and domestic and international buyers, investors, and commercial partners on the other. Dedicated stalls will also showcase products from women-led enterprises and award-winning artisans.
Broader Significance for Central Gujarat
According to the state government, the VGRC and VGRE together aim to highlight Central Gujarat's industrial capabilities, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and innovation potential. This comes amid Gujarat's sustained push to position itself as India's leading investment destination — a narrative that the annual Vibrant Gujarat summits at the state level have championed since 2003. The regional edition extends that outreach to districts and MSME clusters that often remain outside the spotlight of the flagship event. Notably, the inclusion of tribal producers and women-led enterprises signals an intent to broaden the economic participation beyond established industry players.
The exhibition is expected to create new market linkages and investment pipelines for smaller businesses ahead of the next edition of the national-level Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.
