Gandhinagar, Jan 8 (NationPress) The second edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) is set to take place at Marwadi University in Rajkot on January 11 and 12.
Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this two-day event will emphasize the development of the Kutch and Saurashtra regions and will attract numerous prominent industrialists from around the nation.
Preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Summit are in full swing at the Marwadi University campus.
Naresh Jadeja, the venue coordinator and chief registrar, informed IANS, "The Gujarat government is hosting the VGRC on January 11 and 12. Six domes have been constructed by the government for exhibitions across 35 sectors, covering an area of 22,000 square metres."
A special dome has been constructed for the events that will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi during the VGRC.
Approximately 4,000 industrialists from Gujarat and beyond are expected to attend.
Six to seven additional domes have been erected featuring stalls that exhibit a diverse range of products.
Almost 300,000 visitors are anticipated to grace the event.
Naresh Jadeja also mentioned, "An inauguration dome with the capacity to seat 4,000 industrialists is taking its final shape. Seminars covering various topics will occur in the 51 seminar halls."
"Around 800 students from the university are volunteering, assisting with registration, guidance, and guest arrivals. Additionally, 22 international students from 52 countries will also attend along with delegates," he added.
The Registrar of Marwadi University expressed excitement over this significant opportunity, stating, "This region has never received such exposure before. We have been inundated with tasks for the past five months, and last-minute preparations are underway."
He further noted, "A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed by the university, with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore allocated for the education sector over the next three years. We will introduce 12 new programs, construct academic buildings, hostel facilities, and a sports complex."
