Gandhinagar, January 8 (NationPress) The second edition of Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) is set to take place at Marwadi University in Rajkot on January 11 and 12.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open the two-day event, which will concentrate on the Kutch and Saurashtra regions. Numerous prominent industrialists from all over the nation are expected to attend.
Preparations for the Vibrant Gujarat Summit are currently in full swing at the university campus.
Naresh Jadeja, the venue coordinator and chief registrar at the university, informed IANS, "The Gujarat government is hosting the VGRC on January 11 and 12. Six domes have been constructed by the government for exhibitions across 35 sectors, covering an area of 22,000 square meters."
A dedicated dome has been constructed for the events that Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate at the VGRC.
Approximately 4,000 industrialists from Gujarat and beyond are anticipated to participate.
Additionally, six to seven different domes have been erected where stalls will display a diverse range of products.
About 300,000 visitors are expected to attend.
Naresh Jadeja further stated, "An inauguration dome with seating for 4,000 industrialists is nearing completion. Seminars on various topics will be held in 51 seminar halls."
"Around 800 students from the university are volunteering, assisting with registration, guidance, and guest arrivals. Moreover, 22 international students from 52 countries will join alongside delegates," he added.
The registrar of Marwadi University expressed excitement over this opportunity, saying, "This region has never experienced such exposure before. We have been inundated with tasks for the past five months. Final preparations are in full force."
He also mentioned, "A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed by the university, involving an investment of Rs 1,000 crore in the education sector over the next three years. We will introduce 12 new programs, build academic facilities, and construct a sports complex."
