The Gujarat government will host the Central Gujarat edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) at GSFC University, Vadodara on 29–30 June 2025, bringing together representatives from 10 districts, four partner countries, and a broad coalition of international business organisations to spotlight regional investment and industrial development. The two-day summit is part of the state's structured outreach to channel global capital into districts beyond its established industrial corridors.

Key Participants and Leadership

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, along with other senior ministers, are scheduled to attend. Deputy Chief Minister Sanghavi will deliver the inaugural address on 29 June, while CM Patel will follow with the keynote. Ambassadors and high commissioners from partner countries, as well as leading industrialists, are also expected to address the gathering.

The conference opens with the inauguration of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition (VGRE) at 10:30 am, followed by the inaugural session at 11:15 am.

Partner Countries and International Organisations

Japan, Rwanda, the United Arab Emirates, and Ukraine have confirmed participation as partner countries for the Central Gujarat edition. The international business ecosystem will be represented by organisations including the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation, the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), the US-India Business Council (USIBC), the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC), AMCHAM India, the Federation of European Business in India (FEBI), the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the UAE-India Business Council (UIBC), FINCHAM India, the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI), and the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), among others.

Sectors and Districts in Focus

The conference will spotlight a wide range of sectors: semiconductors and electronics, information technology and ITeS, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, aerospace and defence, fintech, automobiles and auto components, dairy and food processing, education, chemicals and petrochemicals, the green energy ecosystem, skill development, startups, MSMEs, and tourism and culture.

Investment potential across Ahmedabad, Anand, Chhota Udepur, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar, Narmada, Panchmahal, and Vadodara will be showcased. Notably, several of these — including Dahod, Chhota Udepur, and Mahisagar — are tribal-belt districts that have historically lagged in industrial investment, signalling an intent to broaden Gujarat's economic geography.

Thematic Sessions and Broader Vision

The programme includes dedicated seminars on semiconductors, IT and emerging technologies, chemicals and petrochemicals, defence, biotechnology, agriculture and food processing, startups, MSMEs, women entrepreneurship, skill development, and tourism. According to officials, the conference is designed to connect local industries with global markets and enhance their competitiveness.

The state government has framed the VGRC as a vehicle for advancing the 'Viksit Bharat@2047' vision, with an emphasis on increasing regional industrial development, encouraging sector-specific investments, and strengthening international partnerships. The Central Gujarat edition follows earlier regional legs of the VGRC held across other parts of the state, reflecting a deliberate shift from single-venue mega-summits toward distributed investment outreach.
