Lucknow, Nov 28 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu stated on Friday that the ancient Indian principle of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'—which translates to the world being one family—has gained heightened importance amidst escalating global challenges, uncertainty, and social disintegration.
During the inauguration of the Brahma Kumaris' annual theme for 2025–26, 'Meditation for World Unity and Trust', held in Lucknow, she remarked, “India's rich civilization and cultural heritage have consistently embraced the enduring tenet of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. In a world facing unprecedented trials and unpredictability, this philosophy holds even greater significance,” she noted.
President Murmu further remarked that while humanity is advancing swiftly in fields like science, technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and space exploration, there is a marked decline in emotional and social well-being.
